Earlier this Summer, numerous videos surfaced of massive hordes of people roaming through the streets and parks all looking down at their cell phones. The stampede of wannabe Ash Ketchums were all after whatever rare Pokemon had briefly surfaced in the surrounding area. These days, with Fall approaching, those occurances are becoming more and more rare. Still, Pokemon Go is earning Nintendo $2 million USD each day. While estimates theorized Pokemon Go was earning Nintendo $16 million USD a day around the time of the game's launch, if $2 million proves to be the true bell curve, that's still $700 million a year.
However, the game has yet to launch in China and South Korea, two of the biggest mobile gaming markets in the world.
Pokemon Go earned an estimated $470 million in revenue during its first 80 days and that's after a 30% fee paid to app stores like Apple and Google Play.
