The Anime News Network is reporting that the manga super-group Clamp has announced that Production I.G.(Ghost in the Shell, IGPX, Kill Bill) is animating the TV series based on Clamp's xxxHOLIC manga. The series is due to air in Japan starting next May and the gap between when a show debuts in Japan and becomes available in the U.S. continues to shrink.

So far no announcement has been made about which American anime company will license the xxxHOLIC anime series. Del Rey publishes the English language version of the xxxHOLIC manga.
