Blue Dragon, the fantasy adventure anime follows Shu whose village is being attacked by an old enemy. While Shu fights back with the help of his friends he harnesses a power to make monsters of shadows, the Blue Dragon Shadow.
The anime is based on the Xbox 360 role playing game Blue Dragon, and is directed by Yukihiro Matsushita (Maria-sama ga Miteru, Zipang) and Studio Pierrot (Bleach, Naruto).
The series premiered on Japan television in April 2007.
