Square Enix and Silver Link have teamed up for a multi-media project that includes the manga, Nirvana, the mobile video game Asylum, and a sci-fi anime series titled Deep Insanity: The Lost Child. The latter is officially set to join Funimation's Fall Line-up in just a few days.
Deep Insanity: The Lost Child is produced by a team consisting of Silver Link, Kadokawa, and Square Enix. The staff includes Director Shin Oonuma, Script Writer Kento Shimoyama, Character Designer Kazuyuki Yamayoshi, while the Worldview Draft was put together by Makoto Fukami, Norimitsu Kaiho, and Etorouji Shiono.
Meanwhile, music was put together by Mirai Kodai Gakuen with Bit Groove Promotion behind the sound production. The talented cast includes Hiro Shimono as Shigure Daniel Kai, Ami Koshimizu as Vera Rustamova, Kosuke Toriumi as Leslie Blanc, Yuya Hirose as Lawrence Larry Jackson, Ruriko Noguchi as Reika Kobato, Kaede Hondo as Motiki Sumire, and Takako Tanaka rounds out the cast voicing EL - Cee.

"Deep Insanity: The Lost Child" TV anime is a part of a multimedia project that includes a game and manga, the game "Deep Insanity: Asylum" will launch on iOS, Android, and Steam on October 14 while the manga "Deep Insanity: Nirvana is currently serialized in Square Enix’s Big Gangan monthly magazine and will release its first two volumes on September 25.
The anime adaptation story will be different from the game and manga version but the world view will be the same as the "Deep Insanity" manga written by Makoto Fukami/Norimitsu Kaihou and illustrated by Etorouji Shiono. This trailer revealed additional cast and features the opening theme song “Inochi no Tomoshibi” sung by Konomi Suzuki. The anime will premiere in Japan on October 12, 2021!
